How Good Is AI Video in 2026? I Put LTX Studio to the Test
Thought for the day
I came across a proverb or quote of somekind about there being two things that cause a lot of the world's problems. I couldn't find who originally wrote it or said it but it rang true for me the more I thought about it. Especially as we watch even more terrible events unfolding around the world, and in particular in the Middle East. From there I searched up other quotes that felt relevant to me for similar reasons, these formed a thread that gave me reason to make several short single-shot films to test out LTX Studio’s new v2.3.
Sounds geeky but in my opinion LTX jumped to the top spot for AI lip sync and human characteristics. AI video is moving fast, so fast that results can look completely different from one model update to the next. In this post, we're benchmarking exactly where the technology stands right now, in March 2026 using LTX 2.3 to render characters with lip sync from original start frames created in Nano Banana. I think this is very exciting for filmmakers!
This is the current state of the art. We'll be revisiting this in a few months to track how quickly AI-generated video is evolving, so bookmark this one.
